The Manitoba Vital Statistics Agency maintains a database of all birth, marriage and death records that are no longer subject to privacy legislation, namely:
� Birth records that are over 100 years old
� Marriage records dating from more than 80 years ago
� Records of deaths occurring more than 70 years ago
The database can be searched by anyone online and free of charge by following these steps:

2. Scroll down to the online search form and fill it in
3. Click on the search button
4. A list of search results will appear, giving basic information on each record.
5. Once you have found the record you are searching for, click on the �detail view� button to reveal more information.
6. If you wish to purchase a certified copy of the original record, click on the �add to cart� button.
7. Once you have selected all of the records you wish to order, go back to http://web2.gov.mb.ca/cca/vital/Query.php and scroll down to �your shopping cart� at the bottom of the page.
8. Click on the �view� button and a form entitled �Request for Copy of Genealogy Record� will appear with the details of the record(s) selected automatically added to the form.
9. Print and fill in the form and add the fee of C$12 per record requested.

More Recent Birth, Marriage & Death Certificates
Birth, marriage and death certificates issued in Manitoba in the more recent past are subject to privacy legislation. This means that only certain people may access them. If you are seeking a birth certificate that is less than 100 years old, a marriage certificate issued in the past 80 years, or a death certificate dating from the last 70 years, you will need to verify that you are eligible to apply for this certificate. The Public Archives and Records Office of Prince Edward Island holds the following birth, marriage and death records:
